Hi everybody - I hope somebody can help me.

I'm considering buying some RST Propelle 2 piece leathers.

Anybody had any experience of these and what do you think?

Any advice most welcome

I have RST Dyno 2 piece leathers and I find them very comfortable, Only had a minor off with them though but they didnt mark anywhere.
The only thing I do find is that the knees quite bulky (its my first set of racing leathers so maybe thats normal) but I have got used to it now and it doesnt bother me when riding.

The're pretty cool leathers, but can be pricey. You buying for looks or functionality?

I've used Hein Gericke leathers on the track and they are excellent. At the moment they are knocking out the tribal evo 1 or 2 piece suit at £200! It's an award winning suit, looks cool, and I can vouch for it's protection in a spill. Wink

I have the 2003 season RST leathers (protex I think). They do me as I only really commute in and out the city. Got a few scuffs on them from where I've fallen off etc but they are holding up well. The while trim will get grubby very quickly if you do a lot of urban riding.

I think I've read somewhere on here people have had problems with stitching when they have had a major off.

All in all, I think they are pretty good value. Not the best, but better than wearing a pair of jeans!

Pretty normal on race leathers as you tend to ride either cramped up or with knees flailing. Need the space to let you move.

Thanks for the help so far...

I'm looking mainly for fit and protection.

I normally use vented textile jackets and trousers but want a bit more protection.

I tried a pair at the NEC and they were the most comfortable I've tried so far but thought I'd ask for advice before I took the plunge.

They were something like £280 for jacket and jeans and it almost seemed too good to be true.

I'll probaly have a look at those Hein Geriche Tribals!

Bought my jacket and trousers seperately and they're both good but don't zip together. The jacket only has some weedy thin zip which would be useless even if it had something to zip up with. Mad

Also mine have a bit on the arms which are material not leather so when it rains a lot my arms get very wet very quickly. Still happy with 'em overall though.

I've got RST Spectre leathers, slid down the road on my arse in 'em twice with no injury Smile, so they hold up well - in other places the stitching comes undone fairly easily - the velcro thing that closes the leathers is almost falling off lol.

They're decent quality for what they cost Smile.
