He may have been going a tad fast but the woman was more than a tad blind. Rolling Eyes

She didn't seem too bothered. Lucky he was ok. Don't think the speed had much to do with it IMO. Looks a touch fast, but she would have pulled across anyway.

That's a joke isn't it? Doesn't look fast at all.
The wide angle lens of a GoPro can make things appear to be moving faster than they are.

Judging by the relatively little damage and how far he (didn't) fly over the car, I'll take back what I said about him going a tad fast. I know how cameras can distort things, with my helmet camera it was always the other way round though, videos appeared much slower! Depends on the lens.

Yea, when you see the footage (not wide angle) from the following bike you get a proper feel for the speed. Looks like 30-40mph which could be the limit for that road.

Quick watch suggests children in the car. First things first with mothers is their children.

She may have been very apologetic once she got that bit out of the way. To be fair, biker boyo was up and bouncing around by that point so it was fairly clear he didn't need a lot of anything other than insurance details.

Maybe if her kid got a fucking motorbike in the head she'd have been a bit more sorry for her actions!

He was lucky with the way he rolled past the car and landed on his legs. He could have been killed if things had been different by just a metre or so. I think I'd be pretty angry at some stupid woman's actions that could have killed me.

Can't blame her for checking on her child first, the poor kid was only a fraction away from having the bike crash right into him/her.

Agree with Arry for the rest, biker seemed ok if shaken. We don't get to see how sorry she was, how can you tell that she shrugged it off when the video stopped after 50 seconds.

He was only doing 30, around 20mph when he hit the car.

He said he last thing he saw was the childs face, when he raged once he calmed down (at the end of the vid) he did make sure the children were ok, which they were.

She's also admitted liability so it's all sorted, she's blind though. Maybe next time she'll look before possibly risking her, her children's and the biker's life.

Yeah it's pretty scary how she just pulled across. I couldn't believe it when I saw the kid. Glad the rider is ok.

It's not an excuse, but you can see from the shadows that the sun was pretty low and behind the bikes, which would have made it harder to see them.

Just something to think about if you're coming in from the sun (also helpful if you're attacking ze Germans).

Glad the everyone was ok though.

Have a look at the video again, and look at the shadow of the trees, they go across the road.

Sad thing is she needs to learn the error of her ways, an insurance claim probably wont do this, until she does it again and people get seriously hurt.

As UrbanRacer said the GoPro perspective is warped, it does look fast from on top of my lid but from my mates bike behind you can see we are not going fast at all.

Also the crash happened at 12:30 so at the highest it normally is for this time of the year, cant say the sun affected our view at all during our ride, she simply said she just didn't see us, kids were making noise in the car etc...

Good to see you were okay, shame about the bike! I think the crash shows how car drivers especially, need to pay full attention at all times. Kids in the car, texting, whatever, could mean someone dead in an instant.

I assume it's full liability for the insurance on her part?

Yep, could have been so much worse! Gutted about my bike Sad
It was just so unexpected I had clocked the cars, and at the time she was travelling same speed as the cars in front, next second she's turning in front of me, your average driver is stopped in the road, car is angled so you can expect what they are going to do, not this time :/

Yeah she's accepted full liability so no problems with insurance, not like she could anyway with video evidence lol

Should have reported her for dangerous driving. As it is, you have allowed her to do this to someone else in the future.
