I bought a pair of new oval delkevic cans for my pan european 3 years ago.

Last week one of them had a piece of metal hanging out so on looking it was part of the perforated baffle.

Stripped the can and the whole tube was just about dust so took the contents out of both cans out and riveted them back together.

Now, i've a new length of perforated baffle tube to put them back together properly but my question is this.

I don't mind the loudness of the exhaust as it is but to me it just sounds like a shagged exhaust, i would like it to be louder than standard which is pretty damn quiet really but not to sound stupid/broken.

Anyone who has done this sort of thing know hat is best to get a nice noise without the crapness.

Few photos below that may help.

I left it late to ask.

I've put it all together as standard for now. I'll take it off again maybe on a weekend and cut the can down a couple of inches.

I did put one on with baffle and no packing and it still sounded poo.

In that case, if you're prepared to trial and error it... cut down the baffle and reducing the packing, and if that doesn't work, cut down the exhaust slightly.

You can always cut things down more, you can't make them bigger again though so don't get carried away.
