Anybody got any recommendations for how to remove light scratches from metallic paint allow wheels? I thought autosol would do it, but apparently its not recommended for paint alloys.
Just light surface scratches, nothing major.

What colour is the wheel?

If it's black, give it a really really good clean then polish it with 'poor boys black hole' then wax it. Poor boys is an amazing polish filler, use it on black cars all the time. Will hide all the scratches and give a really long lasting wet look finish

Granted it won't get rid of them but will cover them up perfectly Thumbs Up

Any mild cutting compound like TCut metalic. If its seriously knackered then use a bit of 1200/2000 paper on it first to flatten. Then TCut. If its well fucked use proper TCut or G3 and if its an abortion after that - get it refurbed.

Sand it a bit then tcut it as above. But you will need to tcut it with a machine else you'll either be there for years or it literally won't do anything

I've found some posts on Google saying never to use tcut. But someone else recommending Scratch X, ever heard of this?

That's because it's abrasive and not good for standard polishing. You need to abrade scratches or they won't disappear. Just how heavy an abrasive will depend upon the depth of scratch and will be a judgement call on your part unless you can find a knowledgeable pair of eyes to look at it.

Tcut is just a brand, it's the same stuff as that scratch x. There all just abrasive polish, meguirs make some seriously abrasive polishes if you need real strong stuff
