Well, I did it!!!

I've been keeping it secret as I didn't want to add any extra pressure to things, knowing the BCF massive would rip me a new one had I blown.it!

So I did a DAS course through Two Wheels Nuneaton, I passed my Mod 1 on 06/03/14 with only 1 minor, and I passed my Mod 2 today with only.4 minors.

Fooking chuffed with myself! Dance!

Nice one phrealykins! So how much did you spend in the end?

And I'm assuming you is a time served 125 personage? Paid your dues on a tiddler? Must've helped, did it?

Ding, 'gratz.

I couldn't find a decent "level up" animated gif, but the search threw up this one and I don't actually have all day.

Cheers everyone, i'll try an answer everyone's questions!

MC, I've been eying up virtually everything on ebay!

MissTamsin, do it! hooning back from the test was the most fun ride I've ever had.

Trevor Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, my DAS costs £510 including test fees. yep had the now infamous 8 year old Sukida 125, done 20000K on it. it helped, so did 18 years of car driving too!

Tef, What can I say, even Congrats became a wall of text! Laughing
you know why we couldn't do the gig, our bassist was stuck in Birmingham in a 7 1/2 ton truck.
you did the journey in a landy though!
PM me your address and when my homebrew is ready in May i'll pop over with a couple of bottles. and I have looked at a 250cc Superdream...

Rogerborg. not the kind of club I was expecting! Laughing

Pah Excuses Eccuses Excuses! Who needs a Basist? Did Hawkwind need a Basist Wink

Actually, I didn'tundertake that epic adventure in the splendiferous comfort of Silhillian splendour!
"Dwont Bayme Uz Blayme B'yooo-Ik! weee dint put 'ole in then-gin! Dat wuz D'Yanks! Eniwez; y'just 'ammer wun o'deez plUg's init... look-zade cap and bit'o'chewin gum'ud dooo... wot we yooz on ' loyne wen bookit's em-teee!"
Oh the joys of Good British Engineering!
I have a leaking core-plug in the side of the chuffing block!
But al least Parts for british cars are cheap! Only 50p for a new plug..... £5.50 postage... but the BIT is cheap!
NOW, if I can just get the exhaust manifold off... and remove the starter motor, oh... I see I need to take the inner wing out...... And when you get there! Theres still not enough space to swing dang-ammer to tap it in the hole!

I took the Chavic!

Beer and company is seldom turned away!
Bring chewing gum... bottle tops might be the same size as a lucazade cap! Wink

At least that's all you did! They tend to look better through tinted specs, though.
Snowie's been looking at bigger bikes lately; keeps coming back to 250N's.... though she found a very sweet little Guzzi V35 last week... shame we couldn't afford it... or maybe not; nicely 25Kw compliant, for the last few months of her restriction!

you'll have to come and collect it, and it won't be ready for another 2 weeks!

this is the new bike!
https://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y475/i_p_phrealy/DSC_1236_zpsd28484c1.jpg

it had an overheating issue, but the previous owner obviously didn't spot the expansion tank under the seat... Laughing
has some old fuel in it so is stuttering a bit at 65, when I get 5 minutes i'll drain it out, clean the filters and put some fresh fuel in.
