Hmm just fitted some givi monorack arms to my bike thinking my universal base plate would fit well it doesn't !!

Doing searches on the internet there like 35 quid for a plastic plate !! now this seems a little extreme for a plastic plate and wondered if anyone knew a cheap source or even had one lying around ???

thanks for any help

I'll have a rummage around in the basement later on - Shame it's M5M as I've got a spare M5!

These arms?

And you already have a box with a universal base plate?

I see holes, I'm puzzled as to why you couldn't fit a plate on there, even if it required drilling / bolting / cable tying?

Yes there the arms i have, the universal plate was too narrow where the the proper plates are a lot wider, if i could have got the universal one to fit i would have even it took a hammer lol

I could have bodged a plate then attached the universal plate to this but then it would have looked pants even more so than having a top box at all. The M5M and such look good and seem like good solid plates just bloody pricey !

Fair enough. I'd have bolted a bit of painted plywood on top of the arms, then bolted the plate to that, but then again, I like to go ghetto or go home. To the ghetto.
