Only thing that concerns is parts.do they share same parts as other yams ? Need to investigate further I think.

EDIT: they have a fzr 1000 engine restricted to 100bhp

Well parts are like rocking horse shit.nice looking bike but a bit risky I think.so maybe something like a pan euro might be a safer bet.shame about the front end design though sounds really good in the YouTube vid.wonder why it never took of ?

Hi

£10k was a lot of money, but then in many ways bikes were more expensive in real terms then. So not quite so hideously expensive as it seems. An FZR1000 was £7199 when the GTS1000A was £9990, and a BMW K1100RS was £9250.

It was a bit porky, but bike buyers are a fairly conservative (with a small c) lot and not that open to major new changes. Hence put off by something very different.

I do have the workshop manuals for it somewhere.

One of those damn things gave me a hard time over the Horseshoe pass a few years ago, two up. I had a hard time keeping up on the 'blade. As I recall Flitwick motorcycles actually modified one with a full fat EXUP motor and stripped some weight off, went very well according to the write-up. Far in advance of anything then, and now for that matter.

I always liked them as well, but as said above I reckon they're a bit scarce for regular use. I also like the streamlined BMW that appeared around the same time - K1 was it?
If I had a bottomless cheque book...
