I'll have atleast 6 points, in 6 days.

What will happen? Am I going to lose my cbt and provisional, Can I re-take both of them straight away?

You don't lose either. 6 points and out is just in respect of the new driver act - since you've not passed any test, you won't have to re-take a test.

12 points on a provisional and you're outta there, though.

Only thing you are to worry about at the moment is increased insurance premiums.

If you pass your test then any more points will make you have to re-do it as well.

[not arguing]Do you have a link to where it says that? Far as I'm aware a provisional is limitless, it's only when you take a test the points are transferred, then anymore and your license's revoked.

If it's a 12 point limit on a provisional, isn't that discouraging taking your test(s) on a 125, as on a new license you'll have the 6 point limit.

OP, at least 6 points? Did someone get caught uninsured Thinking

3 points for speeding and atleast 3 points for riding with someone else on l plates ;/

If both offences were at the same time they usually only give you the points for the worst offence despite what the rozzers like to say at the side of the road.

It's just the same as totting up when you've passed your test. 12 points gives you a TT99 and a ban. After which you have to apply for a new licence following disqualification. (interestingly I don't think this would necessarily cancel your CBT either in this scenario - anyone confirm?)

Wouldn't it be a ''Driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence''.

I know someone that got done back in school-days ferrying mates around on an L-plated ped, not 100 percent what the charge/fine was though.

Ouch. Otherwise than in Accordance, possibly uninsured as well if they're feeling mean.

But no, you won't lose your provisional entitlement or have to re-sit anything, which is pretty daft when you think about it.

You may find yourself to be uninsurable though. That's the risk of living the thug life.

Confirmed. Source - it happened to me. Didn't have to retake CBT.
6 points for driving uninsured, 3 for not displaying an L plate on the back, 3 for speeding. Put a suit on and got away with a month ban. Didn't have to reapply for license IIRC.
At the time I thought I was well boss... now I realise I was just a prick. Embarassed Especially when I got caught speeding again after passing my test and got a 6 month ban.

Hi

It is within 2 years of your first full licence group, so having had a full car licence for over 2 years you are OK.

All the best

I don't think the DVLA are actually aware of anybody having a CBT certificate until they present it for a test.
You did used to automatically get the AM entitlement (or whatever it used to be called) if you had a category B license and a CBT, but I don't think this applies under the new rules.
