Bike shop drama - wrong handlebars fitted? FZ6/XJ6 confusion

Some scrote tried to nick my bike a while back by trying to kick the handlebars to break the steering lock. Time came for a service so decided to get my usual bike shop to change out the bars rather than fiddle about with them myself.

This was my bike before;

I appreciate the angles aren't idential but there's a 5-10 degree angle difference and they're at least 3cm higher than the stock bars. I am half doubting myself as I rode with one side of the handlebars bent out for a few months but I'm fairly sure the bars are different.

I'm quite annoyed but don't know whether or not to kick up a fuss or just try and get used to the new bars? Feels so weird having had the bike for 3 years.

D they affect lock to lock movement? If so get them changed by the shop. Or get them changed anyway as they are not right. That few mm make all the difference.

Er, just go back and ask for the correct bars.

That is about all I would do, failing that, I'd have aftermarket tarty ones.

Do the cables stretch when going fully from one side to the other, do the revs go higher for example. Also if it affects your wrists and shoulders then you should go back and get the right ones fitted.

That would bug the shit of me. Knowing the wrong set was fitted would eat away at me & I'd start imagining weird handling characteristics
Go ask for them to be changed to the correct set
