Im swapping the stock rear shock from my Z750. The rear shock I have is from a 2010 Z1000 DAF.

The problem is, the one on my bike looks like ..

And the one i wanna put on looks like ...

Will things make sense when I take it off? or do I need a different type of rear linkage or something .. or have ...

And I should sell it and buy another one.

IMO it's not gonna work, you've noticed what I can see, yours has a fork bit to go around a mounting,

The one you bought should fit into a fork thingy. If you catch my drift.

Yeh i suppose. But it would be easier to buy the correct mounting then send the shock back and get a new one. If that was possible?

You could fit it, nothing is impossible but I reckon it'd need a lot of work. I'm no expert so all I want to do is give an opinion on what I can see, someone else might be able to say, all you need to do is A + B. good luck

A zx6 shock is the best and easiest upgrade. I did it to my Z750.

Think it was a shock from a P7F model with the sideways mounted res.

It bolted straight in. All that is needed is for you to move the reg rec. I mounted mine to the undertray a little further back from the stock position.

The shock you have wont work.
