There's a Workshop section for these questions. It should really have a Gilera subsection.

I'm so sorry.

Sounds about right.

And has it been re-jetted to suit?
Is the exhaust blowing from the join with the engine outlet, or is it just very noisy from the end pipe? Spray some soapy water on it, look for leaks. We can't guess what you mean.
If the exhaust is attached securely and not drilled full of holes, then I'd suspect a blocked carb jet, or just a totally unsuitable one for that exhaust.
Thing is, it's had 8 years of 16 year olds throwing random parts at it, cutting wires, drilling holes and doing all the other daft mods in pursuit of the mythical 60mph that this one guy got out of his this one time, totally legit bruv.
You could continue down that road, or sell it on and buy something that hasn't been chavved out yet. You're at least 17, what are you doing on a ped anyway? ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Heh, that. You "need"[*] to do a CBT anyway, so you might as well be on a 125cc 4 stroke rather than ragging the nuts off of a 50cc 2-smoker. I doubt you'll be getting better fuel economy.
[*] If you're going to ride unlicensed, why not just do it on an R1? It'll only matter if you get caught. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Hmm.. Well ive been stopped a few times now by the police and all they have done is check my licence, MOT, tax and insurance and let me go.
I think the confusion comes from the fact that if you passed your driving test before Febuary 2001 than u can ride a 50cc WITHOUT L plates or a CBT. Pass after that date and yes you can ride up to a 50cc BUT you need to do so WITH L plates until u pass a CBT which will then validate the full entitlement on the licence.
I havent just jumped in head first guys, i did my research and the proof is in the fact that ive been stopped by police on the roadside (literally like last week lol) and im still riding ____________________ Certified ridahz |

No, you may ride a MOPED...
Moped does NOT=50cc.
Moped has strict defanition in C&U regs, being under 50cc is only ONE of the criteria, another is that the vehicle must not be capable of exceeding 28mph.
If it does... not a moped.
Might have BEEN a moped once upon a time; you may have a V5 that says it was declared to be a Moped when first registered...
BUT... if it goes more than 28mph... its NOT a moped.
Its a MOTORCYCLE... that just happens to have the same engine displacement as a moped.
Therefore, you do not have liecence entitlement to ride it.
It is not the vehicle as described on the registration document.
You do not have valid insurance.
You could take the number-plate that belongs with the V5 for the moped originally registered and stick that onto a Hyabusa... and wave your car licence and insurance cert around to try and say its legit..... and it wopuld be just as illegal as what you are doing.
As for the coppers, not bothering to do you?
Well, they probably figure that if it makes you happy, to believe your bit of criminal genius is so mastermind... to just let you get on with it.... after all, fit kid on a push-bike can probably go faster than you'll ever achieve with that thing! ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!
