Didn't want to hijack the other thread so:

Has / Does anyone use one of the yellow tinted visors?

I'm tempted to get one for my Pinlock insert, instead of just a full yellow visor (Arai viper £47-99! Mad )

I briefly tried yellow tinted glasses - (bought from the BMF years ago) - whilst driving the cage - & found that during overcast / dull conditions that they enhanced the experience i.e lighter & sharper.

Would you ride in one night? Are they illegal? I've heard that they are good for riding/driving at night as they reduce glare?

Thinking

I heard they are great as they polarise the light and reduce glare from headlights.

I wear open face so have sunglasses and use yellow at night, they are better than clear as they very effectively reduce the glare from muppets with badly adjusted headlights.

Another vote for yellow working OK. It also seems to brighten up gloomy days as well, makes me feel more cheerful.

I had a yellow pinlock for a while... hmmmm...

It was great on misty/rainy/foggy days but it wasn't so useful in sunlight, and I really didn't like it at night - all lights become yellow, can be harder to make out what's going on around you from that; also it cuts down the overall amount of light coming in enough at night to make me wish it was clear anyway.

Now Ive got a photo-reactive pinlock, and that is great!!

I cycle with Orange tints in winter. Looks stupid but helps a hell of a lot with making the road clearer. Pot holes etc are more obvious. More a winter and evening thing.

I use a Yellow Pinlock all year around
Seems to work well for me in good and low light and in the dark takes the edge off the glare from poorly adjusted lights
