Hi
Done a few miles on a Thunderbird (Charlotte has one), although a late one with the 6 speed gearbox.
Finish is not great although not that bad. Forks have corroded on here (~£100 each leg for pattern ones). Centre stand is a pig (hers has the dog bones from a Legend on it, which has lowered the back a bit but means you pretty much need to lift it onto the stand - bye bye back). Brakes are OK, but of the quick seize variety. Coils can be short lived.
Not keen on the power delivery. Seems to make no difference whether you are in 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th gear. As peak torque is at fairly low rpm and then drops away, much of what you gain from being in a lower gear you lose from less engine umph at higher revs. Gearbox is OK.
All the best
