I've been looking at some Chinese fairings for my CBR. What I can't figure out is - what is that tank piece they all seem to have on the images? Is it just a mock up or do you get some kind of strange plastic cover?

What's it for?

Some will come with an airbox cover, but usually you use your existing fuel tank.

CBR600 F3.

There's a set of Repsol fairings for £350. My current fairings are well tatty. The tank is OK but it's black so would need re-spraying I guess.

It's just a shame because the bike is mechanically nice.

It's a tank cover. Don't bother they are shite. I know I bought some against my own advice.

Mine from Auctmarts were good, decent finish and fit, ok not OEM but hat is reflected in the price.

Newer sets come with a colour match tank cover, kinda like one of those Bagster covers.
