Hi all,
just thought that i would share this with anyone that is a bit worried about doing a CBT soon and hasn't actually ridden a manual bike before, or been on the road. i have been looking for info on basic riding skills as i have got my CBT on sat, and this is some of what i have come with. hope it helps some people. how about making this post sticky so that New bikers can find the info easily and others can add there resources.
cheers
WN

There really is no need to be worrying about your CBT, it is intended to take you from never having sat on a motorbike before to being able to use one on the roads. They will cover everything you need to know for your CBT so there isn't any need to be reading up so you know how to do things in your CBT; it is a training course.

Seems quite a good PDF file apart from all being American, not going to read anymore of it as there is lots of it but it seems a bit long winded.

One thing you should bone up on is the highway code however. They might not let you on the road unless they are satisfied that you understand what the road signs mean, and how to generally behave yourself on the road. Other than knowing what road signs mean and the basic rules of the road, there's not a lot else you really need other than common sense and patience.

should be alright with the highway code, been driving for 3 years and the theory test is clear in my head, its just the gears and slow speed control that i am a bit worried about. should be o.k on a 125 to really learn, just can't wait really to get on a bike!!!
