Start from 2.5 and work it out from there.

Tried that. Still nothing. Has a 70 kit?

Erm, well.. have you rejetted to suit the kit, what else have you done? Bigger carb, new air filter?

This is all guess work, if you want it running spot on, you'll need to get some quality time with a decent mechanic and a dyno.

Laughing That's probably the sort of relevant info you should include in the first post.

Have you done anything at all to the carb since adding the 70 kit? Ideally you need to add something like this: https://www.myscooterparts.co.uk/motorcycle/malossi-carbs-and-reeds/scooter/motorcycle/carb-kit-20mm/0716010799/1265/

I would imagine it would come with a set up guide of some sort.

I adjusted the floats etc with a mechanic. So that's all fine. I did the whole build with one. It didn't have an air filter so ran like shit, I've put one on and now it won't even start...

TS50's were built with far more restrictions than the average 50cc, you've tackled a lot of them by just changing the barrel, but if I remember correctly the standard carb is very small and the standard airbox is very restricting, these really restrict air flow. Also from memory the expansion chamber has several restrictions along it's length too. Possibly also the carb mount might have a restriction. You're unlikely to get it to run properly until everything is as it should be.

I haven't had a need to know any of this stuff for 7 years now so I don't remember everything and some of that may be incorrect, but the information is out there, I read it somewhere!

You'll almost certainly need to spend a few quid to get it right.

I think this might have been the go to place for parts: https://www.50cc.eu/en/search.asp?zoek=ts50x&zoekw=omschr&Submit=Search

They also have parts for the ts80x which may be more suited.

Yep, I remember adding up what it would cost to do the job properly, then a friend of my dads offered to sell me a TDR250 for £250, which was around what all of the ts parts added up to.

Then the ts got written off and the decision was made for me Laughing

they're supposedly pretty nippy when everything is done, though I'd imagine the standard gearbox is a limiting factor.
