Hi all,
My bike is up for MOT next week and I've just given it a quick once over. The only thing that's not right on it is the rubber on one of the footrests is wearing away, here's a pic:

Will I need to get this sorted out or is it alright? Being a tightfisted Yorkshireman I'm quite happy to leave it that way and just call it good old patina Thumbs Up

Cheers,
-Mark

The MOT manual lists a fail for a missing or insecure footrest only.

https://www.motuk.co.uk/mcmanual_620.htm

However, some testers are prone to making up their own rules.

Having no rubber is not a fail. My usual MOT guy went and checked the manual as I was concerned regarding my monkey bike. He said, nope, no mention or rubber/non slip, just "footrest secure" Thumbs Up
