Kawasaki Ninja 250 R
Derbi GPR 125 Racing
Aprilia RS 125
Yamaha YZF-R125

if you know some advantages or disadvantages of these motorbikes i would be happy if you will share them with me

btw. i have some experiences but with cross and enduro motorbikes.

thanks!

Do you have a full licence?

Only because you have put the 250 in the mix.

My first bike after re-passing my test like 8 years after an accident was my GSXR 600 K7. I didn't think it wasn't learner friendly at all.

Granted I have had an accident since but thats not due to the power or handling. Just due to a blind bitch.

Go with the bike you love. It is only as fast as you want it to go!

I don't think the YZF belongs anywhere near this list.

If they're the bikes you've decided you want then I would personally go for the Kawasaki, since the two strokes may need a lot of buggering about to keep it on the road.

Thanks Dydey! Do you think that those new 2 strokes bikes are still liable to breakdown? and why do you think that YZF doesnt belong to this list?

On an A2 license, if you wanted a sporty bike (not a supersport, as none of the bikes you've listed above are really supersport bikes) i'd be looking at FZR600's and any of the IL4 or V4 400's. They'd be a lot quicker than the bikes you've listed above and are closer to a supersport bike than any of the bikes you've listed too.

As for why the YZF shouldn't be on that list, it has no real race pedigree, it's a slow 4 stroke 125 in a sporty frock.

I would buy none of them bikes listed above, I would rather not have a bike. I have ridden all of them and they are all terrible.
An Rs 125 or derbi will have had a horrendously abused life and never maintained, there's about 10 threads a week on this site for Rs problems. The yzfr is slow, massively overpriced and trying to hard to look like a proper bike. The 250r is OK but that is about it

Get a 400 or a tame 600 and restrict it. It'll be a million times better and more of the super sports your after. If you buy anything smaller you'll wish you got a different bike within a week

The best at what?

You have 35kW to play with. What do you want to do with it?

Commute? Tour? Fun on the roads? Fun on the track?

By "supersports" do you mean an actual sports (i.e. racing) bike, or just one that's covered in plastic?

What's your budget?

seriously? you'd rather have NO BIKE rather than a full power italian 2 stroke?
Thinking mmmm strange, each to their own though.
granted 3/4 of the aprilias will have been trashed or in bits, but not because they are un-reliable or of inferior quality (than japanese 4t) but because most will have been owned by spacktards with no idea how to maintain a race replica 125 (a lot are owned by young learners & they get dropped/crashed as well as being neglected)
i've owned a few & like most 2t's they are simple to repair if something does go wrong.
btw, why no cagiva mito?
comparing a 125 stroke to a 250 4 stroke just seems wrong, & i know which would be more fun to ride AND own.
the yzf-r AND the kwak 250 are not "supersports" imho..

to the op, do you have experience of mantaining a highly strung 2 stroke? cos, granted they do tend to need a bit of fettling (this is part of the fun for me but some folks dont like cracking open their tool-box).
if you want a bike you can just jump on + ride, without worrying about whether its warmed up enough, needs a fair bit of looking after + guzzles litres of expensive 2t oil then steer clear of the italian race replicas.
tbh, i think you should re-think your list, lol

cheers,
GAZ

I've had a YZF 125, don't get one with an A2 Shocked You can ride one on a CBT, that alone says how much fun it will be. I don't agree with a lot of the bashing they get personally, for a 125 they're fun to ride and good bikes - they are very overpriced though even used.

Take advantage of your license and get something with a bit more kick and usability, you likely won't keep it all that long once you've got used to the bike/can move onto something bigger, even if you think you'll be happy with it most people will be craving for something bigger in a couple of years, save your money for that as its likely a bike you will keep for longer and get a lot more enjoyment out of.

The ninja 250s aren't too bad, although again quite expensive for what they are, the problem with a lot of these bikes is you're paying for the flash fairing more than anything - underneath and to ride they're not as fun and cool as they look sadly Thumbs Down
