Wasn't sure where to post this.. as I don't know if its a fault or me not knowing how it works..

I've got a 12 plate Honda CBR 125 with 1600 miles on the clock.. Noticed the other day on a drive to Blackpool (77~ miles) that it had said I'd done 700 miles when I'd only done around 40 since resetting it.. I ignored it thinking I mustn't of reset it..

Reset it again yesterday, went to go for a ride tonight and went to look at it and it says 2700 miles, yet my overall mileage is only 1600.

Reckon its stuffed or is there something I'm not doing right? Rolling Eyes Shocked Shocked

Are the ODE's on a different decimal measurement. The main mileage counter might only count in miles i.e 1, but the resetable ODE might be counting in increments i.e 1.7 miles, but you're reading it as 17 miles?

This.

Also consider it may be reading in KM. You mentioned you travelled around 40 miles, which is 64 kilometers. It showed 700 miles, which instead may actually be telling you 70.0 kilometers.

Or you're time travelling. Is your name McFly?

Nope, definitely not in KM, it says miles next to it, no decimals either Matt.

I won't eliminate the answer time traveling yet Laughing

Just ran out into the wind and rain to get a photo.

Got close enough to take a photo and noticed a tiny decimal hiding just underneath a hairline crack on the dash..

I'm not going to live this down Embarassed

Thank you for helping me though! Beers are on me if we ever cross paths! Laughing
