I think you missed the point in the video Ben

the guy on the scooter is using the pillion peg to push the motorcycle along, the motorcycle isn't running

A simple disc lock prevents this.

I would say you could've tried to stop them but knives and all that I guess!

Could've been broken down but it's unlikely that's the case.

I was caught by surprise and was a bit naive about what was happening - at first I thought the scooter rider was abusing the other rider (hence the first red light jump to get away) - then I realised that he was pushing it, so I thought maybe it was a mate giving a push to the other guy, then it dawned on me what was probably happening.

What would you guys have done - jumped the red and got between them? Despite being larger than them, 2v1 probably wouldn't have been very good for me, plus I wouldn't want my bike trashed whereas they wouldn't care less.

If I'd known it was stolen and wasn't having to make a decision on the spot (as you would in the video, hindsight and all that...) I would have kicked the cunt off the scooter.

To be honest given the situation I'm not sure I would have done much different, possibly tried to ring the po-po if I had my headset linked up.
