Well that was interesting....
Coming off motorway slip at 70ish.... Thankfully downwards.
20 odd miles from home.
Go to drop down a gear.

YIKES.... Gear lever dangling off peg..
link arm missing.
Clutch in an coast to stop around the corner onto pavement out the way..
Thankfully it was 20 meters to a truck engineering firm.
Shoved bike into yard and asked the lads for help.

Big shout out to

Johnston Engineering (Falkirk) Ltd at Larbert.

Bish bash bosh. 2 coach bolts and a wee bit of a weld.

£20 in guys tail for a beer and away I go.

Got me to where I was heading and back home.

PHEW..... Replacement ordered .

Maybe the guy you slipped a £20.00 to was the owner.

Just maybe (if it was not the owner) you just dropped some guy in the shit by posting the company name here, glad you got it sorted though, result, just saying.

The way the guys were, and having spoke to the 4 of them in the yard. I have no doubt all is cool.

They even took me another one of their sheds and showed off the works rally sponsored Saab.

Cool
