Bought a SH parrot drone2.0 for a few quid off eBay this week.
Crashed it into a thatchwork of brambles today: Doh! Hurt
It looks so easy on youtube but i can't fly it for toffee The world's smallest violin player, just for you!

Anyway. Ownership has led me to find this:

If I understand him correctly, it could easily lift my 4 month old daughter Confused Laughing, who was 9lb 12 at birth and is already starting to make my left gun burn after 15 minutes.

I've got phantom 2, found it really easy to fly but had a flyaway where it took off and then lost full control.

I bought the phantom 2 last week. The H3-3D gimbal for the gopro is out of stock though so I'm still waiting for that before I do any really expensive damage.

I got the Phantom 1 a while ago, that new Vision+ looks excellent for video and FPV but can't really justify almost £1000!
In a few months they might come down a bit.

The phantoms are incredibly easy to fly - with no input it just sits there in one place in GPS mode.

I have tried the Drift ghost on mine but it's a tad heavy and subject to vibrations in all but near calm conditions.
I was actually more interested in doing stills but even though it can lift my Canon S100 easy enough again the vibrations meant only a small % were usable even using fast shutter does not help much.

If you want to use a gimbal to smooth out movements and change the angle the camera in flight you pretty much have to use a GoPro, but I suspect the SJ4000 look-a-like might work.

A good tip if you do any video from them is let youtube do the stabilising.
I have Premier pro with 'warp stabiliser' but youtube does it better in half the time!
