My new, (well, 1997), wheelses.
https://i1355.photobucket.com/albums/q709/MCW999/_12_zps6979476a.jpg
Not only is the chain slack and the subframe twisted, but it's naked.
I hope this isn't a silly question, but what do I need to get to put screen and fairing on? I've been looking at auction and breaker sites, but can't see if I just need the fairing and screen bits, or some sort of frame to fix them to.
Also, is a NTV650 Deauville of the same year the same bike with a fairing or different in other ways?
Apologies for lack of technical knowledge... |

Measure the width of those chavlights - universal fly screens are designed to bolt on to the side of a round headlight, typically 7" or 8". Be sure it'll fit. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Thing is. The original headlights are made of pre rusted mild steel and covered with a micro thin layer of chrome.
Since they turn to dust without issue, they are rare as rocking horse poo.
Putting it back to standard isn't much of a great option and i imagine the light output will be better with these on.
Fitting a fairing on will be a pita though so a screen will likely be best, as someone said above. ____________________ Nobby the Bastard: How yo tell the difference between the actual japanese and her just screaming because she's had live fish stuck up her arse? Same colour as my '93 NTV650. No chain on mine either!
I will see if I can put a picture on in a minute, mine has a small front fairing/ headlight cover which I'm pretty sure isn't original.

You could fit one of these. They're made in China so won't last very long but as they're inexpensive, it won't be such a bind replacing them every couple of years. ____________________ A good loser will always be a loser. |

For some reason I'm still after one of these in spite of the apparent blandness, be it the Bros, NTV or Revere (4,6 or 650).
Wish I knew of them before I got the GS500E I got 2 years back, looks a nice one and not too old either ____________________ Current: 02 FZS 1000 & 91 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 Some Bike Pics...
