Hi all, I'm new here! I'm a uni student and I've never had a motorbike before, but I wanted a project for summer and got hold of a very rough 1970 Honda CB100.

I'm quite busy for the next few weeks but after that I intend to strip everything down. Its really just so I can learn a little about re-building a motorbike. To me, a complete novice Laughing most of the metal bits only have some bits of surface rust which is great, but the engine is seized and the bike obviously needs a ton of work.

Thats a lovely wee bike. It'll be even better when you get it restored. I'd personally spend some time in the workshop section, theres guys that frequent there that know what they are doing, and look online to see if you can find a service manual for it.

Eh, good choice, Teffers will be along in a minute to give you the name and shoe size of the chaps who made that bike. Wink

Haha! It seems like a previous owner took a can of household black spray paint to it Shocked . I removed the exhaust earlier because it was loose and one side is black paint, the other side is shiny - they hadn't even bothered to remove it from the bike to paint it Doh!
