I made my considerably larger one for no more than those prices I reckon. Has taken a quarter of a tonne at points and done fine.
Despite having side by side wheels, I made the pivot so that it doesn't tip the bike backwards and is mounted low - specifically designed so it weights the rear wheel for traction.

I've got some ideas to make one which you can adjust the size on, so you can run in narrower when you don't need the full width. |

I used to have a BoB Yak trailer which the one wheel one there looks like a copy of. It was superb, hardly knew it was there, did many many hundreds of miles with it loaded.
