Can anyone recommend a bike cover, needs to be large enough to go over a Kle 500 with topbox. Thanks.

Measure the dimensions of the bike and find the appropriate sized cover because a lot of sellers do show dimensions, as shown below!

The Oxford stormex is an excellent cover and they come in different sizes. As said above, just check one of them will fit. You'd probably be needing the largest one with having a top box but will still need checking to see if it fits.

Ok, I've found that Oxford bike covers do also make covers that also incorporate the covering of a top box, as can been via this link!

Not sure on the quality of their Stormex cover, but I'd recommend you stay away from the Aquatex cover. I bought one and it started falling apart at the seams after less than a week.

I've seen, but not used some of their other covers and they do appear to be quite flimsy.

Their Stormex covers are pretty tough though. I've had mine for over two years and there's nothing wrong with it at all. If it can survive Manx winters, it can survive most things.

Bought a GT Moto myself...lined, bonded seams etc. Other than the cover I'd stayed away from Oxford products...I won't be going anywhere near them again now.

Another Thumbs Up for Stormex, had mine a year next week and it's holding up well. Had some "Bobby No Make" covers they rarely lasted 12 months, 6 months max!

I forgot to mention that you should leave any cover off if it's windy. As it'll turn your bike into a sail and blow it over.

I bought the Oxford aquatex last week. Big mistake, it rained two nights ago so I thought I'd check how it held up. Not at all. I wish I could take it back to buy a Stormex.

Why label it aquatex when it doesn't protect against water - soo annoyed.

Im looking for a dark brown one to blend in with my new garden fence. The mrs isnt too keen in seeing a bright silvered covered bike at the end of the new landscaped garden!

What size Stormex would be large enough for an FZ6? I currently have an old, cheap Oxford aquatex (feels pretty cheap though lasted very well apart from one hole that I covered with duct tape) that is Medium size and it doesn't quite cover it.

Oxford stormex

Excellent cover,can't fault it.

Size medium fits my zx9r c model perfectly, very snug making it perfect for when its a tad windy, last thing you want is a cover that's too big making it e perfect sail!

Oxford Stormex for me! Thumbs Up

Had the last one for 5 years - absolutely brilliant. (Started to leak a bit now - a bit like Uncle Cederic ) Smile

Just replaced it with a new one - hopefully will last another 5 years,

I find that treating it with Nikwax Tent & Gear Solarproof Spray helps it's water repellancy. (if that's a word)

Yeah - I want a less conspicuous one as well. For this reason I was thinking of just getting a decent sized piece of tarp, of say green, brown, black etc. (assuming those colours are available of course). But one thing that prevents me from buying a piece is I'm sure I'll get the dimensions wrong and end up with a gargantuan piece that's way too big and thus a waste of money, or else one that barely covers the seat never mind the rest of the bike.

So - at the rest thread jacking - does anyone know what size piece of tarp will suffice for an average sized bike (assuming the mirrors will remain in situ).
