Can you do MOD 1 and 2 at different stations

Ok guys, basically my uncle wants to do his test now, he wants to use his own bike (insurance sorted) but for his preferred dates would mean him doing mod 1 at Shrewsbury and mod 2 at somewhere else.
is this allowed? secondly he wants to use his 98 gsxf 600 which is not on the list of approved bikes, could this cause a problem too?
he is going for the full A licence no restrictions ect and is old enough to do so.
any thoughts?

I did mine at 2 different stations (jan 2013). so... yes.

As for the bike, I don't know. Someone else here probably will, but he could phone a test centre and ask too...

Yes. I did mine with two different schools in two different cities. I essentially rang around finding the soonest test I could, then rang around finding the nearest bike test centre that could let me use a bike that morning.

Then I went out, got drunk, went to bed at 1, got up at 3, drove from London to Devon, arrived at 7am, did my test and nailed it, drove half way back to London, passed out in membury services, and then went home.

Perfectly acceptable. There's no restrictions on venue. He can book it online but if he needs instruction he'd be best talking to the instructor and getting thier opinion.

Ah damn

If he has the flexibility to do it and still would be interested then its worth checking the booking site regularly; even a few times per day, as theres usually a fair few cancellations last minute that you can grab the slot for if you're quick to notice it.

literally just got back from his booking the test, if had taxed the bloody thing he could have been doing mod 1 at 0900 tomorrow morning . mind he has not even been up the drive on the gsxf yet so maybe needs a quiet afternoon up the local ind estate.

These or similar laid out on an Industrial or Sunday evening carpark are worth their weight in gold - Me and a few mates doing our tests at the same time did this over a few days and found it extremely helpful. I unfortunantely still failed due to being cautious and going too slow on the speed trap/a puncture but even if you only get a rough idea of the track layout without precise measurements, seeing it 'on the ground' is very helpful.

As is watching people doing their Mod 1's - theres nothing to stop you pulling up in the carpark/alongside the test area at a lot of sites and watching people doing their test all day to get an idea whats coming
