Hi All,

Does anyone know of any good 125 Supermoto's that would be good for daily commuting?

At the moment it is costing me £15 per day on the train and I dont fancy paying that for an unreliable, packed service!

Looking for a supermoto style as I like the look of them with a budget of around £1500.

Any good options out there? I know Sinnis and Pulse are higher end in the Chinese cat. but are they any good? or will they last?

Thanks,

Go bigger than a 125 and pick up a KTM 300 EXC supermoto.

Alternatively increase the budget to £2000 ish and get a DRZ400.

Shocked Commuting on a bike with service intervals measured in hours? Bit aggressive isn't it?

depends on what you are after,
if you just want fuel economy then any of the 4 stroke 125s
even the chinky copies arnt too bad,
if you want a bit more, then the 2 strokes are where its at. yamaha dtr, aprilia sx125, Husqvarna SMR 125, tm smr125,
a good compromise is the Derbi Senda DRD 125 they are 4 stroke water cooled, i think use the yamaha engine, but have better suspension, look better and are cheaper while are bit more powerful than the air cooled 4strokes

Errr... not really? They aren't as fragile as you believe. I used my 200 EXC for commuting 50 miles a day... it hasn't gone boom.

A 300 EXC is a step up from mine in power and more than likely reliability. I'd have one as a day to day bike, same as many have RS125s as run arounds.

Also, where did you read hours? 4 stroke, maybe. Nothing to regularly do or adjust on a 2 stroke engine. Laughing

Yamaha WR125X

Proper quality 125 plenty around second hand or if you bought on tick would cost half per month than you lay out on public transport.

I alwayus felt so glad I was on a WR whenever I parked up next to other 125s.

Suzuki DR125

I rode one recently, it was so slow that I thought it was broken. Didn't seem to matter what gear I was in, it had no go in it.

So I rode another and it was exactly the same.

Didn't much like the "arse up, hands down" position either.
