Just got in from Laker road (yet another mini "Santa pod" Wink )

There were a few CBR600s and a bandit or two... Half a dozen Mopeds and a few DT125s...
Along with the Crew of Mitshibishi Evoloutions and Skylines! Mr. Green

Then there were the Novas and Corsas...

The racing was excelent, I had a few myself and only lost 1 which was against a DNA 125 (tuned)...

If there is anybody from the Medway area I recomend you come along next Friaday at about 9pm... Its Laker Road, Rochester (Behind the Air port)

It would be better if there were more bikes there to whoop all the lil Novas and Escorts Wink

Laughing Yea...

BUT

It is a road leading through a business estate, the only trafic using it are the trucks delivering to the warehouses... But after they shut at 8, it dosent get used...

There is no need for public trafic to even use it... They will actually save time going around the 60mph limit road rather than pulling into a 30mph limit road and then through a car park and back onto the main road....

Heres a map to show...

I find "racing" boy racers pointless as first of all its no competition, dangerous on the road,

Now put me in a controlled enviroment i.e. elvington/santa pod and I would race all these Nova/saxo boys. Just its not a good idea on the road.

However I have been known to acelerate when they have tried to pass me when I have been going 30mph thus breaking the 30mph speed limit which is not a good idea!

Once it's running Binge I may pop down. Let's see if your bored out scootre can beat a 30yrold+ design of a Suzuki air-cooled single Laughing

I hope there's alot of space to stop, drum brakes dont work well Laughing

Seem's a bit dangerous racing like that though, bit of a waste of time for the CBR guys as well, as long as they dont f*ck it up theyll beat pretty much anything there. On the plus side the police are at least kept busy by amodeus (jeez that's a dump) Rolling Eyes

Are the cars any good?
I like the illegal but "safe-ish" street races when you get some decent competition but most people with the full works on nice cars tend to stick to straightliners events and so on so at these meets it is just easy picking even for 33bhp.

Youve never been to Chatham/Rochester have you?

Nice car's dont really exist, most are probably stolen (another thing to watch out for incase of prangs) and most people who live down there buy Elizabeth Duke jewllery or those stupid little clown's, there's plenty of smatterings of Burberry as well, not that i'm implying anythng you understand. Merely making observations as I frequent the area (used to more than now). Rolling Eyes

Reburn. Is your suzuki a 50cc or a 125? 2T or 4T?

Erm, It is very safe. 2 cars at a time. no other cars about...

Yes there are some nice motors. They come from Maidstone, strood, Sittingbourn etc to race...

Tonight there was a Honda Civic with the same paint job as the silver skyline on 2fast 2 furious. AND it had a Nissan Skyline engine in it Shocked Shocked Shocked

I'm guessing you don't have a distance/time for any of this just a start/finish and some scally with a dish cloth waving you off the line?
Okay that sounded a bit harsher than intended but you get my point I hope.

@Josh, that was nowhere near harsh enough for what probably happens Twisted Evil

@Binge, it's a SUzuki GP125, air-cooled 2-stroke. See the one in the Exchange&Mart section, same model. But without any of the mod's.

Hmm, I doubt id beat a 125 2stroke...

anyway. There is no start no finish... The 2 cars just start side by side and rev their engines (rolling start) and between them they just go... Its clear to see which is the fastest car anyway, even if they start behind each other, you can still see which is fastest...

It is a very old 125 2-stroke, and the main thing governing my top speed will be my trust (pure blind faith) in the brakes working from that speed Laughing Anyway I need to change some bit's as the first ride last week was itneresting to say the least Neutral

Would have to be a standing start with auto Vs geared otherwise ill just keep it in the powerband, who do you reckon will hold the slowest time down there lol? Mr. Green

I'm actually tempted to try this now lol Rolling Eyes

I dont get what you mean about holding your Vs Confused

Anyway, Ive got the smallest scooter up there (70cc) all the rest are 125s and over... Im pretty much the quickest, but over half the road and Im at the back Crying or Very sad as they all have much better top end to me...
Its more of a laugh, Nobody really gets timed unless you get sombody to do it for you, But there are HUDREDS of chavs in their cars watching and they find it amazing that my "50" scooter can keep up with the "125" scooters...

Ok. I doubt my "70" could keep up with a 2stroke 125.

I have no idea how the GP125 fair's against scooters of any sort yet so i'll tell you if i get left at the lights or not. haggard if your on a 50 it could be a long ride, it's about 25 miles I think, not sure. If it's a 100 Speedfight then it's an easy trip, flat out Laughing

Just as a friendly word of warning to anyone contemplating partaking in this illegal road racing, we had an incident in Braintree recently, two cars, I believe it was an Escort RS turbo and a 16v Clio, racing on a 40 limit road and the Clio lost it, managed to flip it and he died, .....if that is not warning enough, the other guy was charged with "causing death by dangerous driving"..........so who was the winner of that then?.......................and the Police Clamped the Rs turbo and impounded it so they could check any mods were apporved by the insurance company etc. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

There was no winner that night, one dead and one with his life f*cked up for ever!

If you wanna ride quick go on a track day Thumbs Up
