Just a quick question on 2 stroke Muffler repacking, my Exhaust has got gradually louder (not blowing) its a Pro Circuit End can and it can be taken apart to be repacked so

Does the way you repack the can make any difference to performance or volume

or do you just stuff it as full as possible, thats what ive always done, any ideas anyone?

Thanks

This stuff is much easier...most guys use it these days rather than loose wool.....local MX supplier put me onto it after asking for loose wool packing....he had both at the same price but said this stuff is much better....he was right and it lasts longer and gives more consistent results .......if your using loose stuff then just try and pack it down evenly !

That's interesting stuff.

Other sellers are showing similar packing sheets that are:

"stitched together with a fine low temperature melting thread which dissolves on contact with exhaust gas, releasing the compressed fibres to expand and fully fill chamber voids. Ideally suited for repacking non-uniform shaped cans such as oval and tri-oval, which can be tricky to repack correctly with standard materials"

I wonder if they are all designed to expand and fill the space like that? Either way it would make the job a lot easier.
