I am buying a second hand Honda CBR 125 from a Honda dealer .
the bike is 2004 and done 72 miles the previous owner fell off and sold it back to the dealer. There is a small dent in the tank and a slight mark on the crank case, but other work has been done.
Would you have it HPI checked the dealer states it was not a insurance right off.
Your thought please
ps its my first bike Very Happy

dont bother with a CBR 125, most people will tell you, I say get the bike that you like.

allthough stinkwheel i thought was selling a CBR 125?

Dealers normally HPI check the bikes before taking them In

ask them for a HPI report dont pay yourself!

I did an HPI check through MCN and they found they accident was recorded and have advised me not to purchase the bike at this time until they investigate it further.
So it looks the bike was a written off and repaired by the dealer Crying or Very sad

Two ways of looking at this.

The dealer lied to you, you can't trust him, walkaway.

Or, find out what work was done and make him a silly offer as it's recorded as a write off and this will affect it's resale value.

Depends really on how pissed you are at him.

I guess it may have been a cat D write off, although it's a high value bike, and even a new tank and crank case wouldn't write off the bike...

I would definately name and shame, what they did/are doing is not on!
