Now that the RF is awaiting its place in bike heaven i am on the trail of its replacement.
I quite fancy a GSXR and having spoken to the insurance gods it seems possible.

I have seen the following advertised at £2850 which seemed a little high? Any comments?
/me wanders off to barter.

SUZUKI GSXR 600CC , 1996 P Reg , 18,239 miles, Metallic Black Silver Blue. Grab Rail, Mushrooms.

Ah from George Whites, it seems abit expensive for a P-Reg though it does have low mileage and does look like a nice bike.

You could probably get a newer ZX6-R or CBR600 for the same money with same/less miles though?

Expensive for a 96. I have seen 98/99s go for £2200 to £2500 (starting price, private). Get a private sold bike much cheaper.

Think the newer Srads ie 98/99/00s were slightly better (minor changes) to make it less top endey/peakey, smaller wheel base etc. But they all are top-endy, whichever 600 Srad you go for.

Meant to handle pretty well. Seems like good performance for money (cheap).

Also see Cbr, Zxr, R6 (cost bit more) blah blah blah Thumbs Up

I like the colour actually, makes it look slightly less obese.

Dark tones flatter the fuller figure. Smile

I paid £2200 (bartered down from £2850) for mine, Year 2000 with light scratches on one side (been dropped). 12,000 Miles FSH. Alarm + Immobiliser.

Red and Black is the fastest colour, the paint granules used are smoother hence better aerodynamic efficiency. Honest.

Sorry....I reckon Oni wins on the nicest colour front. The blue and white traditional job just looks slightly tiresome these days.

Looks cracking in yellow too! Still, yellow 2nd place Wink

I was trying to avoid the common blue/white combination.
