So was searching the forum for ways to transport my bike chain and came across a post advising the Mortrax Tail bag.
https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?p=2785453

However I cannot find them anywhere. Is there an alternative for the same price kicking about?

Thanks James

Marmalade has a tail bag for sale. Might be worth asking him about it?

I use an un-branded version very similar to this the times I need to just transport my chain - a bigger one like in your OP might be fine, but if you have a particularly heavy chain [Almax in my case] it can slide around a lot and drag the back around if its not secured down tight.

That one looks almost identical, believe I got mine for about 20 quid inc delivery a few years ago. Won't get much in it besides a large chain, but it does keep it secured down well Thumbs Up

Thanks Matt, that's exactly what im after. Prefer to carry a chain with me at all times just in case I need to stop somewhere. So paranoid I'll come out to no bike waiting for me Sad

I try to do the same if i'm heading anywhere unknown I may leave the bike - just make sure you find a good spot to chain it to rather than just leaving it dangling around the wheel Razz

Very easy to drag bikes otherwise, chained or not Sad

I saw that!!!
I have a front disc lock and a heavy duty motorbike chain. Leave it at work currently, have a floor anchor at home in my shed for it!

I wouldn't say "advising", just specifically praising.

Motrax are out of production now as far as I know, but any generic tail-bag should do. I'm using a "Viper" now, looks like this...

https://i.ebayimg.com/t/tail-pack-viper-/00/s/NDgwWDY0MA==/z/~90AAMXQHO9RdE4T/$T2eC16V,!y0E9s2S65dnBRdE4TkrRg~~60_35.JPG

Works fine, I got it for the princely sum of £9.50 delivered over the winter. It'll be busier now, but hit up eBay or Gumtree, be patient, and don't over-bid.
