I occasionally look at ST prices. Priced about right for a low mileage clean bike with original factory luggage.
Offer 2300 and settle for 2400 and you've still got a lot of bike for the money IMO.
It's the '99 plate so may still have the old charging system which was inadequate. Main beam good but dipped is crappy. Check for a crack on lower right fairing where it sits close to the exhaust. Look at clutch slave for weeping. Expect the lumpyness upto almost 4k. ____________________ Diabolical homemade music Bandcamp and Soundcloud

I like them, am thinking of getting one when i get my full license.
Pros:
1. Nice Mileage
2. By looking at the photos it looks in good nick
3. Security etc
4. Comes with boxes
Cons:
1. IT'S ON GUMTREE
2. Could be cheeky and haggle the price lower
3. It's getting on a bit
4. no tax
I would be tempted though if i wanted to buy this week. Contact the owner and check it out ____________________ https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=284963 - What to expect on a MOD 1 (contains video footage) - Posted by BG5067

4 valve head so timing belts will be marginally trickier than the 2v. i.e still ok for a DIYer like me. Change them every 2 years...Ducati branded about £80 a pair.
Valve adjustment with bucket and shim is still one step too far for me. I need to be shown, then I'd have a go.
Every 12k and costs the same as other 4v bikes.
Lovely machine to service once you've got the fairings off. ____________________ Diabolical homemade music Bandcamp and Soundcloud

There are plenty of easy to follow servicing guides on Ducatitech. |
