suzuki gz125 clutch issue

I have recently purchased a suzuki gz125 from a family member, I have repaired most of the bike but am having an issue with the clutch, the clutch is not working, I have tightened the clutch as far as it will go, but still the clutch is no working, i have placed the bike in first, second gear whilst the bike is off, held the clutch in and the bike wont move when pushed, if i put the ignition on and the bike is in neatural, i hold the clutch in and if i attempt to put the bike in first gear, instead of the bike not moving because i have the clutch in the bike immediatly moves off and i have to hit the cut off switch, any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like clutch is seized, get some fresh oil in the bike if you haven't done so already, run the bike in neutral until everything is warm, stop the bike, engage 1st gear, pull the clutch in and rock the bike back and forth. Then try zip-tying the lever tight to the bars, leave overnight, warm the bike up again pumping the clutch lever as it warms, turn engine off, select first, rock back and forth.

If that doesn't sort it, consult haynes for a clutch rebuild. Most likely the 'fingers' of the cage holding the clutch plates has a burr on it, minor damage can be addressed with a file. Could also be warped plates, or something broken off and jammed in the mechanism.

One of my GZs had a sticky clutch when cold and required a bit of rocking to free it. Fine once it had warmed up. Leaving it parked in gear was a bad idea.
