After taking off the flywheel cover and putting it back on and filled the oil up to the stick (the measurement on the oil lid) what i didnt know was that i had to to let it run for a couple of minutes and then refill it again since the oil needs to get around in the engine etc. What I did was that I took it for a ride rode 7-8km. the last 4 km I ran it quite hard at 10000 RPM for a while. I later found out that the oil level was low when I got home. Do you think something has gotten damaged? I have driven it for a while after that and havent noticed anything different with the engine.

its a 125cc that is why i run it at high rpms when on highway

How low on oil was it ran? Low on the dipstick/sight glass, or was there no oil on the dipstick/in the sight glass when you checked it after your ride.

If it's running like normal with no odd noises or loss of power, it's very unlikely that anything's been ruined.

*My guess...and it is a guess of sorts.
You got away with it.

Short journey so engine didn't get really hot and you said there was oil on the very tip.

To check you could drain the oil and look for bits of swarf. Same with the oil filter and magnetic sump plug if it has one (well worth a few quid).
New oil and filter and listen out for any knocks.

Top it up now you should be ok

You'll generally know if there's damage from low oil, normally will have a sudden rather drastic effect. If yiu had an un event full ride your probably good

Oil will read low after the bikes been running, needs to settle back down into the sump for it to have an accurate measure.. mind and hold the bike upright and not on a centre stand when getting the oil level though Thumbs Up

You should be alright, the lowest 'mark' on the dipstick is the 'ideal' minimum however the 'disastrous' minimum is much lower. I once came back from a Rally in Holland on a Z200 and when I checked the oil level at Harwich it took over a litre to top it up. If I remember correctly it only held 1.6 litres up to the 'FULL' mark. I then rode it back to Stafford with confidence !.

Really you only need to run and recheck if you've fitted a new oil filter ( it needs oil pressure to fill it )or to a lesser extent if you've had the top end off and circulating oil fills the cam / valve gallery's ......tbh you shouldn't have really had any drop in oil level......which is worrying if you have but would expect you've got away with it unless very unlucky.
