If you can get to Rykas for around 9:30 - 10am on Mayday, find the Overflow carpark and come say hi. We'll all be there.

If you're Milton Kenyes area, have a look at this group on facebook:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/HBB.Bikers/

We're a very 'active' group. There will be loads of us on the Hastings run and there are usually 2 or 3 different rides you can tag along too every weekend.

Meet up at the Sugarloaf in Dunstable every Wednesday.

Thumbs Up

It wont be snowing so we'll be there. Man the fk up!

Early forecasts are mostly sunny. We done it 2 years ago with the odd torrential shower.

Did you end up doing the may day run? How did it go? I used live and ride in the matly day run every year, but not been the last few years because of being in afghanistan Rolling Eyes etc.

is it still a massive bike-fest? Orvhas it gone more commercial now?

I would love nothing more than to go, but i am currently bike-less (except a fooked up bandit6 that needs 'fightering!) since i got wounded in afghanistan, i had to sell my SV650s to make ends meet. now too poor to get a roadworthy bike. just need lights, crankcase covers, indicators, speedo, tacho, instrument panel to make a start on getting it on the road! Would love another CBR600FM if i could find one i can afford!

Yours is much, much tidier than the one i intend to start work on... its a bit up in the air at the moment as the current owner of the bike cant decide if to scrap it or let me take it off his hands. i want to relieve him of it but its overwintered in a bikeshed so the throttlebodies have stuck, brakes frozen and its got a bit of rust spotting - that and no clocks/fairing/lights/indicators!!

Always did like a challenge...

Nailed it in one mate, my 1st bikes were all rebuilds, the Suzuki TS50, Honda NS125R, and Suzuki GSXR400 all started life as forgotten wreaks, the honda NSR125 had an astonshing 200.000miles on the clock with no engine rebuilds... built to last that motor. i eventually gave the bike away to a bloke so he could recon the motor for his son, he couldnt afford a bike, and i was on the Gixer by this point, so i just got the young lad round and gave him the keys. he went off happy as larry. was even happier to find that when we stripped the motor and exhaust and found the restricting baffles/rings in the downpipes had worn away/vanished and the motor had bored itself out through wear and tear, no wonder the thing did 98mph flat out whilst supposedly "restricted!!!"

Tried to knee slide it lots... I remember the day my puck 1st kissed ashphalt, i jumped, yanked the throttle and lowsided, so the puck was followed by elbow, shoulder, head etc... Right outside my lady friends house too... Embarassed still, a quick patch up with fibreglass repair kit and halfords finest aresols and id be on the road the same day!
