Guy in the passenger seat is a hilariously sore loser. Aw we lost, but look at this nice vent! Also the ipod connector!

Yea, the passenger is a f**king cu*t. he's the same in other videos when up against bikes. You get the feeling from some of the drivers that they would gladly throw him out the door at speed Laughing

Absolute bell.

"I think we had a better start" *S1000 nails Veyron again on 1 wheel*

Bike beats Veyron. "Yeah but we're more comfortable"

Riiiiight. Cos that was the point of the video, to see who can fall asleep the quickest.

I did not realise a modern 1000c was that quick, tbh.

Perhaps a 600 will do me after all. Laughing

I've seen lesser cars beat 1000cc bikes, could it be that the driver is just crap? Doesn't really sound like the Veyron is being pushed to the limit...

It all depends on how good the rider is at launching the bike, this was a roll on so traction is less of an issue. Launching a 1000cc is difficult compared to a car where you just plant foot and in higher end cars it does it all for you.

Yeah standing start it'd be a completely different game.

4wd will launch the car immensely well. Think from standing start, the Veyron is a full second quicker to the 1/4 mile mark.

S1K has launch control in a way, its not marketed but if you switch the bike into race mode, hold the revs at 6K and dump the clutch.

I've looked up 1/4 times and it still seems the S1000RR is quicker than the Veyron!

Try a dozen standing quarters in a row. Wonder how many clutches the 4wd supercar would need.....

All the best

I dunno, but at the price of the car, hopefully only one. I'd expect for that money that the clutch, and every other part, are massively over-engineered to tolerate continuous punishment

Hi

I would be surprised. From memory the clutch life on various Ferraris when launch mode is used is a long way from reaching double figures of launches.

All the best

Sorry my point seemed to come across wrong.

I meant, if I was paying that much for a car I would expect it to last a damn sight longer.

Since I don't have the money for a Veyron or Ferrari then my expectations of what I get for my non-existent money are not worth much
