Yes!
Home in time for the supersport race.

[edit] Well that made my palms sweaty. Thumbs Up

Did get wound-up by the poor commentary and contacted Parrish to use the live timing so people know who's leading. Rolling Eyes

They're clearing the grid for the Supersport 600.

2 sighting laps due to conditions.

Seeley, Rutter and Dunlop all good riders in the wet, should be an interesting first race.

Sounds like some teams don't know what tyres to use. Wet fronts/Intermediates. Inters soft..inters medium. Cut slicks.
It's a lottery.

[edit] Well bloody nora. Hope Lee Johnston is ok, from the accident or Seeley battering him later.

Thoughts are with Simon Andrews who is in a critical condition tonight.

[Edit] his team boss has reported that there are positive signs.

Video of the crash. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xM5QEycPfs

This is how VVTR/Benny died.
Sliding face down and hit his head on the kerb.

Hope he pulls through.

I think he should take a serious look at his riding career after this. He's been unfortunate enough to have some pretty brutal crashes in a small amount of time. Time to hang up the leathers IMO.

Shocked he's lucky he hit the drop kerb or it would of been instant lights out.

Yep I agree. You can't deny that he is fast and really brave, but he always seems to just push it over the edge. His poor family must be in bits every time he races.

to get up and have another go once is brave enough. Two is maybe understandable. No sportsperson wants to finish on a low. They all want to wave their careers goodbye from the top step. Three times starts to become plain stupidity I reckon.

A lot of sports have medical protocols in regards to injured competitors returning. My chosen first love, ice hockey, 4 KO's and you'll likely never play again.

They're different than us so will continue to wish him well and see him racing again. Saying that, I read a message from another racer saying if he had no bad luck he'd have no luck at all.

Bad luck?

How many times has Simon been in hospital due to a racing incident?
How many times has be been "critical"?

If it was me, and i crashed that much, and I had been in LS once before i would deffo pack it in after my 2nd stay in CCU/ICU

There is a speed trap very close to where that accident happened just at the start of the braking zone, I was speaking to the guys that operate the equipment after the first race yesterday morning, they told me the faster bikes were hitting 170 mph at that point of the circuit before braking for the metropole corner. Hoping Simon has a speedy recovery.

Has anyone got a clip of the elbowing that everyone was complaining about at the end of the 600cc supersport race?
