I am picking up an ex demo KTM 200 Duke with loads of bolt on extras..better chain sprkts, hand guards,Akra..exhaust,crash bobbins etc.
I have had loads of bikes. I restrict myself to smaller capacity because I need to keep my license and can't be trusted lol.
I only really commute on bikes these days. I wanted something for city commuting. Don't do scooters or dull looking commuter bikes.
This bike really seems to fit the bill. Not too bad performance(for 200cc) 100mpg possible.
I am very concerned about the made in India part..I am expecting a love hate relationship with this bike. Only time will tell.
Does anyone know if the engines are made in india too?
Bike really looks cool. Looking forward to picking it up.

Do you know if they changed the sprocket size when they replaced the standard ones? Seem to remember one of the criticisms was that they could do with a few teeth smaller on the rear sprocket so the don't feel maxed out in a NSL.

Not sure but my daily commute is 30 zones 1 mile of 40, 250 yrds of bypass. 70 is the top speed I ever can use to be honest.
I would even consider larger rear sprk for traffic light GP. The 125 gets slated for build quality here.(UK) The 200 dosnt seem to have issues in india . To me its basically same parts put together in same factory.
Time will tell...should have got DRZ 400 SM again to be honest but not many good ones around.

They are all supposedly checked at the KTM factory in Austria before delivery. Maybe that doesn't apply to the 125s.

Done 70 miles so far did a quick fuel top up(£4) 100mpg. That was A road max 53 mph (running in) and some town.
Lovely little bike for town commuting well impressed. If it dosn't fall apart should be a good buy.

Obviously not following the best run in process by warming it up and hammering the shit out of it with regular oil changes.

Took me about a year to find mine. 691 miles on it, total ornament owned by someone who probably should have bought a Harley judging by how obsessed he was trying to make it more comfortable to ride (came with 4 seats).

Nice looking and unusual for a commuter.
For that I'm normally thinking storage and topbox for work stuff.

I'd suggest you arrange some security for that though.
It has 'nick me and after raping me leave me burning in a field' written all over it.

Enjoy Thumbs Up
