Ive got it to come out about an inch or so, been grasping it with wrenches and tugging at it like fook but it won't budge.

No jobs a simple one with this bike. Laughing Needing some tips/tricks if anyone has any.

It's unusual you can go a little way then it stops.
Absolutely sure nothing else is retaining it?
Needs lube, and tap it back in and out plus twist a few times, then try driving it from the threaded side if 100% sure nothing is holding it.

Lightly supporting the wheel might help.

Can you not use a drift to help hammer it out?
Metal bar, extension bar or wood dowel slightly less diameter than axle.
Might help having someone support reared wheel.
Or use a ratchet strap around wheel and seat to support it.

Yeah positive nothing else is holding it. Tappings not enough I had to hammer it pretty hard to get it out as far as it is, I've got something under the wheel to take the weight off and I've been applying WD40 to either side all to no avail.

I like the drift + ratchet strap idea though. I'll give it a whack. Razz (Dad joke intended)

Does the axle rotate when fully home? if so I have used a cordless drill attached to the threaded end of the axle to spin it while spraying with WD40 to remove rust and crud, the axle should be a lot freer after a couple of minutes spinning.
