Just been looking at options for the bike and as roger pointed out it lacks an exhaust (diversion f).

Found this :

https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/181838

Which looks the part but being 300 beans for a slap on end can I'm not sure how they can claim it adds horsepower.

It doesn't remove or replace the existing fannymould, cat or main box and is added after all the oe crap so if anything it would be adding more restriction and reducing power slightly?

Also not sure how it would sound better as it's added after the existing baffles on the oe system.

Then again I'm applying car tuning knowledge to bikes which can only end badly Laughing

My other option is get a friend who builds custom bike and car pipe work to put something together for me but that would replace the headers, remove the cat and be a lot more expensive.

I see these all the time and they always confuse me.

WHY would you add an "end can" onto the end of a complete exhaust system? you don't even lose the cancerous-tumor-esque box under the engine Neutral

This is inside a standard end can... lots of restrictive gubbins.

This is why they can claim to +hp with just a can, the Bandit 1200 gets a sizable chunk, ~10hp when you remove the can and bolt on something tastier.

that's the whole of the exhaust on the xj6 paddy. all you are doing is bolting another can onto the end.

Thumbs Up

Agreed.

Will pester my mate for a full system. Looking at the old one the O2 is only placed before the cat so removing pretty much everything and getting the headers more of a tuned length should work out nicely. It isnt an R6 so not looking for tons of extra power, just a nicer look and some kind of noise from the thing.

This Scorpion thing looks to be the equivalent of putting a K&N on your car, just before the original air box with air filter inside.

I do not get it....

Add a additional can to the side of the bike....

What a daft idea when you have great clean lines with the std system ending where it does....

madness Laughing
