Evening,

I've got the VJ 125 service manual, but is doesn't show an exploded view of the exhaust fitting to the cylinder. I want to replace the exhaust collars which are rusty, but I want to see what other parts I need to get.

I've looked on koreanbikeparts and hyosungsource, both have the collars but don't list a gasket or seal.

Can anyone help me find a diagram for the exhaust fitting?

For a £1 gasket? seems a little extreme I've ordered a set of collars but I just need to know what gasket to get.

I've used this bike for 2.5 years and it's been rock solid, no issues. Regular cleaning and oiling and the only things which went wrong was the O2 sensor.

Luckily I have a Daelim dealer about 5 miles away in Romiley so parts are not an issue.

I'd go see him for a gasket then! These are off the shelf parts rather than bike specific but you'd need to take the existing one out to measure or compare to a new one

There is a round seal that fits between the cylinder head and the exhaust. This is the only part that you will need, though you should consider having a pair of new studs and nuts to hand. They are only 6mm diameter and if the quality of the steel used is anything like the rest of the bike then they are highly likely to blake when you attempt to remove them.
Multiple applications of a good quality penetrating oil (not WD-40) in the days prior to attempting removal and a quick blast with a blow torch may help but you'll still need to exercise caution and also keep your fingers (and everything else) crossed.
