ITV4 are showing TT: Closer To The Edge this coming Sunday 1st June at 10pm, after the Sidecar race programme.

I'm sure most of y'all will have seen it by now, but if you haven't I can thoroughly recommend it... it's brilliant.

I completely agree, I've got it on bluray and watched it several times, it'd be rude not to watch it again next week though Laughing

Just can't get bored of seeing such adrenaline pumping racing like that

June 11th is says its at cinema.
Wouldn't expect there are quite so many ways for this to get into the public domain early compared to your average hollywood film.

It also doesn't say which cinemas will be showing it, but I don't think it'll be all of them... can't imagine its got the same widespread appeal as the likes of Senna, although since TT proved really popular maybe they think Road will do to.

Guy Martin again. He gets where water can't. High publicity for a lorry mechanic who's not bothered if he doesn't win a TT.

Watched this last night at Villa Marina. Stunning film - the best documentary I've seen about road racing

I do like this film but I'll be buggered if I'll watch it on ITV and let them spoil it with ads.

Thats what I did... started it about half an hour late and just about caught up by the end. Only a minor inconvenience, but watching live and unable to fast forward might have been tedious. I Sky+ all my tv except live sports, so not used to adverts anymore.

Still feel sick every time I see Hutchy get his leg run over, accompanied by a dull ache in my own leg. Knowing he's back racing doesn't do anything to ease the horrendousness.
Connor's accident is obviously very brutal, flailing like a rag doll, but doesn't give me the sickening feeling that Hutchy's does.

I find the on board footage unwatchable due to the camera pointing to the tarmac just in front of the bike instead of the vanishing point.Im constantly looking over the top of the TV.

My region didn't show it, although it was listed for airing. All I got was a documentary about Guy Martin. Rolling Eyes

Erm, that's more or less what it is. Jesus wept. Rolling Eyes

On the year Hutchy cleared up on the TT the majority of the movie had Guy Martin. Love him or hate him you have to agree he has the charisma and personality. Can you imagine if they had spent most of the documentary talking to Hutchy?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTLXKX1mbTI

Theres a 4 minute interview. Imagine 2 hours of that! You;d be suicidal by the end of it. I remember there was a 1 hour special after the 2010 TT when Hutchy cleaned up. I managed 15 minutes of his dull monotone before I had to turn off.

Having not seen it before I don't think it was unrealistic of me expecting to watch a program about the TT, not some twat that likes to park by the sea and stroke one off in the back of his daddy's transit, with the backdrop of the TT

Jesus wept indeed.

Prick.
