Hi all, any experiences with the above?
Ideally looking at the 1.9CDTI 150 model from around 2005 but interested in all diesels.
Particular one IM looking at is the above model with 109k but FSH and is at a dealers for £1,695.
Thanks, Grant

Is it basically the smaller version of the Insignia? Because I hired a car for a road trip last year and got one like that, so it may have been a Signum, although I didn't check. It was pretty good but felt a bit chunky all over for me. Good fuel efficiency though, specially at high motorway speeds using the 6th gear.

Think its aimed as competition to like BMW & Audi but never really took off because of the brand doesnt compare.
Halfway between an astra and a vectra is what I always saw it as.
Got plenty of room but aint too big.

It suffers with the same common issues as the Vectra C/D,
So scan a few of the vectraC.com type sites, or even Vectra-sport as they will help you out with what to look for.

I had a Vectra C with the 1.9 CDTi 150 engine. I loved it to drive, plenty of torque and power, but it chewed through injectors like boiled sweets and broke down several times. After the third time of replacing them, I gave up and sold it. It was the most unreliable car I ever had. It was under three years old with under 50000 miles, so I was very disappointed.

Don't discount the Signum, but look very carefully at its history.

Cheers guys Il have a look, in terms of reliability, would it be better than a peugeot, mainly 206/307 HDI,
as they are my main alternatives,
206 because Ive had two so know a lot about them but its a bit small.
307 hoping its just a larger version of the 206 but my sister had one (petrol version) and all injectors went.
Think its going to be a case of see if its a bad en or not when I view.

I have never been a fan of French cars, I've never bought one. Peugeots don't have the best reputation but in all fairness I couldn't be specific about any faults. All I do know is they seem to go through bulbs like there's no tomorrow. If you see a car on the road with a light out, more often than not it's a Peugeot. I have no idea why, but have a look next time you drive at night!

If you've had two already and you trust the brand, then go for it.
