There's sad news almost every year from the island, I just hope he left his nearest and dearest well provided for.

Other than that (cliche incoming) he died doing what he enjoyed, long may others have the same freedom.

I hate to be the bearer of sad news but another life was lost for the love of the sport today.

The TT claims an average of 3 people a year. It is the ultimate price for the sport and hobby we enjoy.

RIP to the riders and my thoughts to the families at this hard time.

I think Garry has just broken bones, he was concious when they put him in the ambulance. Joe Faragher almost sustained fractures in an off at Joey's.

Some good news I suppose that Gary Johnson isn't suffering worse injuries.

The Birchalls also seems to have got away lightly from their accident in the Sidecar race. Ben has to have some operations on his hand but they think they'll be racing again in a few weeks.

It's a very very dangerous event. There is always serious injuries and death but people still go, still race, still enjoy and most of all know the very real risks they take to compete in the ultimate thrill seekers motorbike race.

It is very sad to hear these men have lost their lives and their families have lost brothers/husbands/fathers/sons. It must be a terrible feeling to have someone die whilst they were happy, at least up to the point of the crash. It's better to go like that than to be diagnosed with cancer or the like but it's still a loss in any case.

The only high points if you can define any at all are the fact that these people are passionate about this race and there is no one else to 'blame' for the accident and probably not even themselves, at most a misjudged bend or a little too fast. I know I have misjudged many but without serious consequences as yet on the roads.

I hope that they don't rest in peace, I hope that they live on forever with the noise and adrenaline ringing in their ears, after all it is that which brought them to the end of their lives and that which brought them happiness. I hope their families can find peace wherever the may look for it. I hope that the race will continue and the families in time can forgive the island for taking away their loved one and one day return to pay their respects to their family or friend that died.

I scanned the new posts for TT, or Harris etc, surprised I didn't see one. So started one

Think I need my eyesight checked.

Gutted really. Karl's arse was on my bedroom wall for years, always enjoyed watching him particularly at BSB and especially the Mount.

RP Sir.

Fingers crossed for Gary, didn't realise more were involved, haven't watched the coverage yet.

Separate incident I believe he is well enough to be joking with visitors.

have never been, but watched some of it on TV. BlimyCharlie! These must have nerves of steel and hearts of tigers. No wonder a few every year die, such a fast long bendy course.
RiP, all who dont make it. And thank you for the enjoyment and thrill you bring to others who only dare to watch, (like me).
