Hi all just bought a very nice j1 zx6r 2001 but the front brakes seem very poor, it has wavy front discs but i can pull the handle all the way in with not alot going on i mean it will stop but it judders and doesnt perform, the rear does a better job, any help please

IIR The calipers on that model are not the best and i know people how have swapped for different ones.

Or try bleeding your brakes.

Bleed brakes and see if that gets rid of your spongy lever.

Check that all your brake pistons are functional and not seized. A friend had a similar problem and it ended up being that only one piston out of 4 pistons were actually working and it also had a kind of bumpy/juddery feel when you pulled in the front brake.

We serviced his front brakes (new pads, seals, pistons and a clean) and bled them and there was a massive improvement.
