Has Guy Martin ever won anything? I'm not one of those folk who dispisie Martin but I do just wonder why he gets so much made of his chances at the IOM TT.

But also cos he's regularly had podiums at the TT, so it isn't outside the realms of possibility that he's gonna win one.

I've got a possible solution to this....move all the Islanders off, demolish houses and walls, cut down trees and make proper run-off areas Why would it make it any less enjoyable? Surely it's not the fact that riders can come off, hit solid objects and die that makes it so popular? It would be the UKs "Phillip Island"

It seems that fans and the organisers aren't doing a lot to make sure this great meeting continues. I get the impression people are just leaving it to fate and hoping nobody will notice

Vincent, if such a travesty, like you state as basically levelling the IOM were to ever occur, we would only see the bobby no balls dorna motogp parade take over.

Back on thread.. No, i don't see him winning it. MD is young enough to be comparatively fearless. That counts for a few seconds a lap.

The Tyco Suzuki bikes are a consistent package, they just doesn't seem to be winning machines.

Plus with Michael Dunlop getting better every year, he could be dominating and winning most of the races for the next few years, or even longer.


I'd love to see Guy win a race, and no doubt he's got it in him as a rider, but maybe he needs to be on a Blade or S1000 to do so.

Guy has won many races at the UGP including a hat trick, the IOM is not the be all and end all with the UGP being the faster circuit with mass starts unlike the IOM which is only a time trial. He has nothing to prove imo.
