On my CBR 125R there is a hose that is called in the manual "Water pump inspection hose" And it is dripping coolant non-stop while riding. What does that mean? I have not overfilled it or anything, but I have recently changed the clutch cover. Also the engine temp level have also been notifiable higher.

The "Inspection hose" is under the water pump.

Over fill usually comes from the top of the radiator and off to the tank at the back of the bike.
It is very likely the shaft seals have gone - as this pipe is there so that the coolant does not flow the other way into the oil. Keep it topped up regularly until its fixed.

You may be lucky and have just put it all back a bit wrong - the mechanical seals are expensive ( for what they are) £45 a pop - and you may aswell change the oil seals while your there as they seal the other side of the same shaft but are quite a bit cheaper at couple of £ each.

I took off the clutch cover and this time I used the mechanical seal from my old clutch cover. It is still dripping, what I did not do as shown in the manual is using this "Special tool". What kind of tool is this and is it expensive? And what is its purpose?

Long and short is you knackered it taking it out - they only work once!

Haynes manual reckon you can drive it in with a socket providing it only touches the outer flange.

At £45 a pop I wouldn't like to say Shocked

Yep, may be worth taking the new seal and the cover to local garage and have them pop it in for you....

I have ridden for a while now where I have refilled when necessary. Now the leakage has completely stopped. Why do you think that suddently happened?

.

No clue, what I would like to know is how the fuck you got the mechanical seal out with out damaging it in the first place?

I've changed mine earlier in the week and it took about 45mins of digging and prodding, and trying to drift it out from the back.....

You have probably only lifted the front half of it out. A piece of rubber with a spring on it?

That other end of it look like this https://img853.imageshack.us/img853/7557/3copyv.jpg

A new one included the seal on the rear side of impeller, the rubber and spring are supposed to be a complete unit with the metal back like this

And judging by the hard time I had getting it out, the blue stuff is an adhesive sealant gasket of sorts ( like water proof loctite etc)

Gav; the sealant looks like Blue Hylomar.
The Loctite sealant seems to dry a very light blue.

Do you think that seal had been replaced previously ?

Wouldn't know in all honesty, but I know the complete seal does not just lift out!

They are a bitch to get out - even if you punch through the oil seal behind it the back of the mechanical seal is quite soft so all my drifts just poked holes in it.

In the end i had to prise it up carefully with a flat screwdriver.

A small enough rawl bolt could probably be put to use as a silde hammer with better success than drifts but the smallest I had was M14 Crying or Very sad
