Hi,

I am trying to put the sport exhaust form my sv650 to my r6 and use the r6 exhaust on the sv650 as I am selling the sv .

I haven't attempted this before but they look the same and should be a straight fit. I will be trying it this weekend.

Would it be a straight fit or I need more bits and pieces ?

sorry for the noob question but wanted to have some idea before spending few hours taking it all apart

Thanks

The end can may fit, unlikely that the link pipes will be the same though. Worth a try anyway.

just tried it , didnt' fit. the end of the can on r6 is attached to the can and has been specially bent/designed so it won't fit sv650

same with the sv .

left it at that

what are the cheap good cans out there?

is getting a second hand one a good idea?

I spoke to MCE and they said there will be no extra charge for a new exhaust as long as it does not add power.

I said no it is only cosmetic.
I was correct Very Happy unless you do remapping no power is added

Do you want a stubby can, moto gp can or the standard oval race can?

dones't have a weld machine but can take both to a shop to do .

what do you reckon the cost will be, i need a clean job otherwise I might as well get a brand new can for £130-190 .

I am trying to avoid the expense . that is all.

what type of shop should I go to . mechanics?
